in partnership with Polk County Heritage Gallery
Enchanted Illusion: 2nd Annual Art Exhibition for Mental Wellness
Enchanted Illusion, The 2nd Annual Sunny Porch Art Exhibition will be held at the Polk County Heritage Museum from Monday, January 3, 2023 to Friday, February 3, 2023 with a reception on January 8th from 12-2 PM. This year’s show will feature the work of Anna Marie Harrington and ten other talented professional and emerging artists.
Seen in the Unseen
Anna Marie’s body of work which inspired this year’s exhibition is dreamy and magical. As seen in The Old Man and the Sprite, many of Anna Marie’s pieces selected for the exhibition have hidden fantasy or illusion within. We feel these selections express the escape to art from her daily mental health struggles, allowing a glimpse into Anna’s unspoken world. It was this escape that supported her ability to best manage living with mental illness.
